Proud to Announce Sponsorship of Joshua

We’ve got some brilliant news to share. We are officially sponsoring Joshua, a seriously talented Taekwondo athlete and the stepson of our colleague, Pete Savill.

Joshua’s been training at Evolution Martial Arts in Taunton since 2021. He only started when he was ten, but the progress he’s made in such a short time is massive. He’s already bagged a black belt and was named the UK’s ‘Best Competitor’ in his age group for both 2024 and 2025.

It’s not just about the medals, though. Joshua’s now coaching the younger kids at his club, and this year he’s heading off to Crete to represent the UK in the European Championships.

The reason we’ve jumped at the chance to support Joshua is actually quite simple. At able2achieve, we’ve always maintained that we’re more than just a workplace; we’re a community, and that means looking out for one another. Pete has been a massive part of our team for a long time now, and when you see someone putting in this much graft to chase a dream, you naturally want to do what you can to help them get there.

Seeing Joshua’s discipline and the sheer amount of effort he puts into his training is a bit of a reminder of why we do what we do. We felt that if we have the opportunity to give back, especially when it involves supporting the families of our own staff, then we should take it. For us, it’s about being part of his journey to the European Championships and hopefully making the road to Crete a little bit smoother for him and his family. Taekwondo takes a huge amount of discipline and mental toughness and seeing that kind of drive in a young person is genuinely inspiring to all of us here.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on how he gets on in Greece and posting updates along the way. We’re all incredibly proud to be in his corner and can’t wait to see what he does next.
